“I specifically grade their Node.js knwoledge, and overall system design + db knwoledge. The verdict is the way it is because they did not meet the expectations of three years of knwoledge and experience of Node.js, which is ok for them, becuase their experience is mostly in PHP/Laravel. From the thinking and logic POV, they have a good approach to the problems as far as I can tell, and they have a good problem solving mindset. The gaps are the specific knwolede of Node.js and its ecosystem and logic behind signle threaded process, Event Loop, System design, Microservices, Architecting in general.”
