* Marine’s CV structure was already clear and well organized, and there were no major issues that required changes. The discussion therefore focused more on strengthening the portfolio than rewriting the CV. * During the portfolio review, the Polytechnic project stood out as the main area requiring improvement, particularly its UI polish and visual execution. * We identified that the portfolio would benefit from one additional admin/dashboard project to demonstrate experience with more complex product interfaces, data-heavy workflows, and reusable UI patterns. * Marine showed interest in using AI as part of her design process, rather than treating AI only as a separate experimentation tool. This led to the recommendation to build her next project with AI involved throughout the workflow. * We discussed experimenting with Google Stitch, particularly improving prompt quality and iterating on generated results rather than relying on the first output. * I recommended exploring Claude Design and MCP, including the relationship between Claude, Figma MCP, Claude Code, and design workflows, to help Marine understand emerging AI-assisted product design practices. * We also discussed using established UI libraries in a new project. This would give Marine experience working within existing component systems and constraints instead of designing every interface element from scratch. * A key development area identified was gaining more experience with real products that are implemented or currently in development, especially projects involving direct collaboration with developers. * We discussed improving developer handoff and production-oriented design, including understanding how designs translate from Figma into real implementations and learning from technical constraints and implementation feedback.

Update the Polytechnic project — improve the UI quality, visual consistency, component usage, and overall case-study presentation. Create one strong admin/dashboard project — use an established UI library and demonstrate complex workflows, data visualization, tables, filters, forms, and reusable components. Build a new project using AI-assisted design workflows — experiment with Google Stitch, improve prompt writing, and bring the strongest results into Figma for further refinement. Get more real-world implementation experience — work on projects with developers, follow designs through implementation, and practice clearer developer handoffs including states, edge cases, responsive behavior, and component specifications.
